MAIN FOCUS — Detente in the missile dispute?
Russia has decided not to station Iskander short-range missiles in Kalinigrad for the time being. This is Moscow’s reaction to the policy of new US President Barack Obama who, unlike his predecessor, is not strenuously pursuing the planned missile defence shield project in Poland and the Czech Republic.
